Toys For Tots

December 8, 2007:

I had the honor and privilege to provide photographic coverage during a local Toys for Tots benefit. Dr. Antoinette Parvis whose office is in Oxford, MA was celebrating her 25th year of service to Toys for Tots. For the last quarter-century she has helped bring thousands of toys to children in need.

This year marks the 60th anniversary for the Toys for Tots tradition of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. In 2006, Toys for Tots delivered more than 19.2 million toys to over 7.6 million children. Every toy is donated and your donations are tax deductible.

It was a really great time! Entertainment was provided by a really great Barbershop Quartet, 'The Forget Me Notes' who provided us with excellent Christmas Carols and Radio Station 'Oldies 98.9 FM' was also there to pipe Christmas Music into the air and down the streets, calling for people to stop by with their donated gifts. Members of the US Marine Corps were also on site spending quality time with us all. Then they bagged up all the gifts to be distributed.
Santa was there with a few of his helpers to bring joy into the hearts of everyone there.
I was meaning to ask him...What's the key for? Maybe if I see him around I'll remember to ask. It's an interesting piece!
This is only my second year being able to cover this wonderful event and I'm already looking forward to next year.
Thank you Dr. Parvis for allowing me to cover this heart-warming event. It was certainly a pleasure. See you again for TFT 2008!

And since my heart is still warmed:
To all of you who are visiting my Blog...thank you.
To all of the great people I had a chance to work with this year, thank you.
To all of the great clients I have who have referred other clients to me, thank you too.
And to everyone else who visits this blog...
Happy Holidays!
Stay tuned for more...

Twins 1st Birthday

November 24, 2007
I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a 1st birthday party for twin girls (Amelia & Madison). What a pleasure it was to be able to photograph these two very adorable babies!
As you can see from the photos, the twins and Ally (their equally adorable big sister) are quite photogenic. They make my job very easy to do.
Having a 1yr old daughter myself (who just recently turned 1) I know how great it is to celebrate their very 1st birthday. For me, it's the best one of all and the one we as parents remember and cherish forever.
I was able to meet a lot of great folks and family members there and capture many candid images of the birthday girls, some family photos of their guests and even Flippo the clown in action. It was a really great time for me and I was glad to be able to do it.
Thank you Adria for the opportunity! I look forward to seeing your wonderful family again in the near future. Enjoy your images.

Family Portrait

November 11, 2007
Here is another family portrait session that was quite fun. All three kids came right into the studio with their smiles already on. They were very inquisitive about the whole photography process and I did my best to answer their questions using terms they would understand without getting too technical.
Cooperation is key in family portraiture and if you don't have every one's full attention it can be difficult at times to get that memorable image that you'll want to put up on the wall for many, many years.
This family, The Bogars, all did very well in that respect too. Mom made sure everyone looked their best and she was instrumental in making the session happen efficiently. The posing stool in my studio provided the fun!
There were many great images but I could only pick a few to post here.
Thanks very much Paula (Mom) for helping this session go so smoothly. I had fun with it and I hope you all did too. See you again soon!
Happy Holidays!
