We are in the planning stages of updating our studio this Spring. We also plan to begin the development of our Outdoor Portrait Environment. This will be a great addition to our existing studio space.
Our clients will soon have the option of having an indoor studio portrait session, an outdoor session or both, without having to travel far.
As soon as the rainy season stops, we will be activily working on getting the outdoor portrait environment completed, so it will be ready in time for the green grass and warmer weather.
When we are all done with it, I'll be posting some before and after photos. Stay tuned!

It's Never Too Late To Find True Love
I recently had the honor of photographing Linda and Richard Mawhinney's wedding and I wanted to share some images and a sweet story with you all.
Linda has a heart of gold and like me, she's a hopeless romantic.
When we met at a restaurant about her wedding day wishes, we had a great time getting to know each other over coffee. The three of us were laughing so loud (she brought her sister Barbara along) and having great fun that we lost track of the time. I got to find out a little more about her love story and I was very happy to know that this was going to be her very first wedding. Why you ask? Because she had been "holding out for Mr. Right and he finally arrived." She found Love...the ultimate gift!
We had fun during their wedding and it was a small, intimate and beautiful ceremony. When they were just kids, Linda made Barbara promise that she would be her M.O.H. She kept that promise, which meant very much to Linda after all the years of wishing and waiting. I'm very glad I was able to be a part of it.
I think it's important to follow our dreams and the pursuit of happiness...be patient and good things will happen...keep the faith...yeah, I kind of sound like my mom now. But I do believe this is true for everyone!
Linda and Rich, thanks for choosing us to photograph your wedding. It was a pleasure. I'm glad you liked the images and your wedding album.
Best of luck to you both!

GMDS 2008-2009 Scholarship Recipients
Hello all.
I wanted to share with you all what a joy I have each year photographing the students of Gina Mandella Dance Studio.
GMDS, as it is known, a performing arts studio here in Oxford does a great job at keeping their students, both male and female, enthusiastic about performing arts.
The studio's mission statement reads: Every child is different and can be inspired to become something wonderful. Dance teaches expression through movement, and is an enormous inspiration for a young dancer. Nurturing these young children brings me joy, and they continue to inspire me to dance and teach with my whole heart. Each child will get the individual attention needed to believe in themselves and to become that some kind of wonderful! - Gina Mandella
Each year the Gina Mandella Dance Studio awards several of their students a full or partial scholarship based on their performance, positive attitude and other traits. As you can see by the number of them, many of the GMDS students strive, work hard and it pays off.
I am honored to be chosen by GMDS to photograph this years scholarship recipients as well as their Picture Day photos this summer.
I'm sure it will be a blast, just like last year.
I'll post some of the Picture Day / Recital photos later on this summer.
Gina, thank you for selecting us again! I'm looking forward to photographing your students this year.

Facebook Phenomenon
Launched on February 4, 2004, Facebook, an online social profile website has grown by enormous leaps and bounds! It started out as a little known website that allowed you to share information with a select group of friends and acquaintances.
Now it has become a primary source for keeping in touch with friends, family and others. It is currently used by over 175 million users online and that number gets bigger and bigger each day. Amazing what technology can do for us these days!
I use facebook for all of the reasons above, but I also find that it has been a great way for my new and existing clients to get a "behind the scenes" look at their photographer. I like being able to connect with them also because I think it helps me to get better acquainted with them. More than what can happen during an initial meeting or consultation.
If you are not a Facebook user, it doesn't cost anything to sign up and it's easy to get started. Just go to: http://www.facebook.com/ and register. You can add as little or as much information as you feel comfortable with, along with photos and other links.
And if you're looking for a friend, search for me Ed Diaz in Oxford, MA. :-)
You'll be well on your way to enjoying the facebook phenomenon and you'll find out more about my life, when I'm not behind the camera.
See you on FB, friend.

We now offer Camera Classes!
What are camera classes? A brand new service that we are now offering at our studio!
How many times have you tried to read the instruction manual that came with your camera, only to become even more confused? Tired of deleting most of your photos because they didn’t come out right? Too dark, too light or out of focus?
How long have you had that digital camera and promised yourself that you are going to take a course someday or try to learn how to take better photos?
Well, that someday has just arrived! We are offering small group lessons with your camera at the special price of only $25/person. There is a 10 person limit for each class. Bring your camera and your questions and leave with the knowledge to take better photo right away!
Get the results you have always wanted with your own camera! Whether it’s a just a point and shoot camera, D-SLR or even a film camera, we can help you start taking better photos immediately.
Our next group camera class will be on Saturday March 28th at 11:00am. If you are interested in this service, call us to reserve your spot.
Call: 508-216-5898 (prepayment is required to hold your seat.)
Bonus: During the classes we will have a drawing for cash or other prizes!
You could even get your next class for free!

50 in. Plasma TV Sweepstakes Winners
I am very excited and happy to announce that my clients Mr. & Mrs. Michael Lupien recently won FIRST Prize in our "Escape to Paradise" sweepstakes!
Michael and Sharyn Lupien received a 50 in. Plasma T.V. a few weeks ago!
All couples who came to our studio in 2008 to meet with us and consider us for their wedding photography needs (whether they booked with us or not) were entered into a drawing to win some really great prizes including the Grand Prize of a Cruise to the Caribbean, First Prize of a 50 in. Plasma T.V. and several other prizes as well (see our previous post for more details).
I am very happy that Michael and Sharyn won a prize from the sweepstakes. (Yes - people really do win these things!)
We had a wonderful time photographing their wedding at the Leicester Country Club last year and it is great to be able to share in the joy of this couples winning as well.
Michael and Sharyn, congratulations on the new T.V.! I hope you enjoy it very much and spend many nights snuggled up together in front of it.
Best wishes to you both!
To any couples getting married this year or next who are looking for a wedding photographer, we will be doing another sweepstakes like this one this year starting very soon. Keep a look out for our blog and website information for when this is, come meet with us and get your name into the drawing!
You could be the next lucky winner!
