As this year comes to an end, I would like to thank the many new great clients/friends I had the pleasure and honor of working with.  It's been a remarkable year for us and we have all of you to thank for that!

Here at our studio we will spend the next few months reorganizing, revamping and reviewing our plans for next year, so that we will be able to provide a higher quality photography and video experience, as well as the newest and coolest products available.

We are most looking forward to our new couples, like Ana and Steve in the photo below... and all of our engagement sessions and weddings.

Hi everyone.  This is your last chance to enter our upcoming Belly Dance Off competition.  It' going to be a great event.  Even if you do not want to compete, you will want to attend.  General Admission is only $10.  Come see some great belly dancers, eat some great food at the Rebel Cafe and Kava Bar in Pelham, Ma. and  cheer for your favorite dancer.  It's going to be a lot of fun!

On Sunday, July 10th beginning at 11AM we want you to enter our next  Belly-Dance-Off.  This contest is open to ALL.  Beginners and Experienced dancers as well. Want to just watch all the great performances?  Come join the fun! Pre registration is required for all attending and competing, as seating is limited.

Prizes may be awarded during the Open Stage Hour so come early and join in the FUN!  (Pre-registration is required as space is limited) $10 registration fee for Open Stage Hour participants.

Then, starting at 12 Noon, 20 Contestants will be competing for the Grand Prize, which will be their winning belly-dance, filmed in a professional short video production, on your choice of DVD or Blu-ray disc. ($1,500 VALUE)

If you have always said..."Yeah, I can do that" when you see a belly-dancer, then this is your chance to prove it!

20 Contestants will each dance to the same songs, chosen by Diaz Digital Discoveries, just to make things equal and the winners will be chosen by Diaz Digital Discoveries' judges. There will be a total of 3 Rounds...each contestant will have 60 seconds to dance in round one and 120 seconds to dance in round two. Then there will be eliminations. A final song for the top 3 will be played and they must dance again for180 seconds to determine the winner and two runners up.

Grand Prize Winner will receive a Professional Video Production of their winning belly dance routine on DVD or Blu-ray disc.($1,500 VALUE)

First Runner Up will receive a Professional Portfolio Photo Shoot ($500 Value)

Second Runner Up will receive FREE ADMISSION to the upcoming Wendy Bonaventura Belly Dance Workshop on July 17th.

All Contestants will draw a number out of a box (from 1-20) to determine what order they will dance in. Because the dancer who picks the number 20 slot will have the most difficult time being original in their performance, during the second round, all numbers will be reversed. So, dancer number20 will be dancer number 1 in the second round. Dancer number 19 will be number 2 ...and so on.

There will be only non-belly dancers judging in order to keep things fair. There will also be a People's Choice Award, with a SECRET prize awarded to the winner.  Bring your friends and have them vote for you!

Diaz Digital Discoveries judges will determine who the ultimate contest winners will be, with the exception of People's Choice Award, which will be chosen by audience participation. All DDD judges decisions will be final.

All Belly Dancers may be judged on all the following:

1. Posture
2. Elegance
3. Personality
4. Synchronization (Dance matches Music)
5. Overall Appearance
6. Entertainment Factor (Fun Factor)

Break out your favorite/sexiest belly-dance outfit... or put together one of your own. Props are allowed so you may bring accessories to help enhance your look or routine. ONLY SWORDS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR DANCE will be allowed for the safety of all attending. If you do not have a specially designed sword for dance, please do not bring it.

Foxboro Wedding Photography

We recently photographed a wedding in Foxboro, Massachusetts and it was so much fun and the locations were spectacular!

The bridal party got ready at the beautiful Renaissance Boston Hotel and Spa at Patriot Place 28 Patriot Place, Foxboro, MA

As you can see from the image above, it was a very busy time and one of my favorite times to make images that tell the story of the day.


Wedding photography is exciting, fun and at the same time very hectic.  As a photographer you have to be in the right place, at the right time, every time and do so unobtrusively, if you want to get great real-time images.  That is precisely what we strive to do at each and every wedding.  I love capturing fun images like this one above!


Melony, the bride, chose to have her and  her bridesmaids make up done professionally and by none other than Alexa Prisco of the TV style show Jerseylicious.

The wedding reception was at the Lake View Pavilion, 45 Lakeview Road
Foxboro, MA and here is an image from this absolutely beautiful venue!

So many details here were absolutely beautiful!  The food was incredibly good and the service from the staff was top notch! There were so many other moments that evening which I could also have posted. Let's just keep this post short, but take it from me, there were many beautiful and stunning moments throughout the day and evening.  

I feel we had the perfect combination.  Beautiful hotel, beautiful bride, beautiful venue, which all equals beautiful images.

SHOOT MY MUSIC VIDEO - CONTEST

Beginning May 1st and ending May 30th we will be accepting musical entries for our SHOOT MY VIDEO contest, in which one Grand Prize winner will receive a professionally produced MUSIC VIDEO of their winning song and one DVD or Blu-ray disc containing the winning music video for each member in the group. ($2, 000 Value)

One First Prize winner will also be chosen.  First Prize winner will receive a professional Cover Art photo shoot of their self, band or group and their favorite cover photo from the photo shoot printed on a Fine Art Canvas ($500 Value)

Entries will be accepted in all genres of music and the contest is open to single performers, groups and bands.

To enter, you must upload your song to us for our review via our dropbox online and the winners will be chosen from those entries.  Along with your entry, send us your name, phone number, e-mail address and in 100 words or less, also include why you feel we should shoot your music video.

Send an e-mail to info@DiazDD.com to submit your contact information, song name and why we should choose your song.

Winning Grand Prize entry will win a music video produced by Diaz Digital Discoveries and K-bay Video Productions either in studio or on location, depending on the winning song type and the winner’s preference.
Only one song entry per person, group or band is allowed, so make sure you send us your very best!

There’s no age limit so anyone with musical ability can enter.

Original song content only please!  No cover songs.  Remakes, cover songs and all other reproductions of someone else’s original copyrighted music will be disqualified.

All entries should be uploaded to our YouSendit dropbox at: https://dropbox.yousendit.com/DDD  Deadline is 7pm on May 30, 2011.

Winner will be chosen on May 31, 2011 and announced shortly thereafter.

Due to space limitations, your uploaded audio file must be smaller than 1GB. Please upload MP3, WAV or WMA files for best results. Recommended audio quality: 128 kbps or 196 kbps files.
Please include your song name/your name in the filename so we can differentiate the entries and match them up with your e-mails.

Winners video, photos and name(s) will be published online on our social networking sites as well as various social video sites. Winners will be required o sign a model release prior to publishing their information to the public.

Wachusett Mountain Wedding Photography

Hello Blog fans!

I have a few favorite images to share with you from a recent Snowboarding themed wedding we photographed at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton, Massachusetts.

It's not every day that we get to do something unique like this and I was very excited to be able to capture this wedding day celebration!  We had lots of fun and we got lots of great images that showcase the fun and emotions shared throughout their special day.

The staff at Wachusett Mountain always do a great job with the place settings and details. Their service can't be beat!  Oh, and the food is amazing as well!  Just look at how delicious this looks!  Take it from me, (I got to taste it) it tastes as good as it looks!

I even got to sample the awesomely delicious cupcakes served from The Cake Spot in Quincy, Ma.
These little delights were made in Heaven!  The flavor?  Strawberry Shortcake, with Coconut over the top of the frosting.  Mmmm, I can almost taste them again right now!  Get yourself down to The Cake Spot for a few of these amazing cupcakes!

Albert and Lisa (Groom and Bride) had a cute little snowball fight and I think you'll agree from this shot here that Lisa may have won the battle.  Better luck next time Albert!

BELLY DANCE PHOTO SHOOT

Here are some images of Teresa Comtois, 2nd place winner in our recent Belly Dance-Off contest.
Teresa won a professional portfolio photo shoot and she did an excellent job during the shoot.

We had lots of fun creating many images that she will be able to use to showcase all the styles of dance that she does.

Teresa is also a Middle Eastern Dance instructor for anyone interested in learning Middle Eastern dance.

BELLY-DANCE OFF! BELLY DANCE CONTEST!

Get ready for FUN, music and a great prize to the winner of our upcoming contest! Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for the 10 best Belly-dancers in New England to come show off your moves, win prizes and appear in a PROMO VIDEO.

On Saturday, January 29th beginning at 'high noon' we want you to enter our belly-dance-off.

Contestants will be competing for the grand prize, which will be YOUR winning belly-dance filmed in a professional short video production on your choice of DVD or Blu-ray disc.
