Wedding Photographer Lowers Prices in 2009!

You're probably saying to yourself right now...Yeah Right! That would never happen! But read on and you'll see it's true.

Here's how we are able to do this.

At the end of each year, we always take a look at what has worked and what hasn't over the past year in our wedding photography business in an effort to run our business more efficiently and cost effectively.

We research better ways to do things and use information from various sources as well as feedback from our past wedding clients as to what they liked, what they would like and what they need from a wedding photographer. We listen to our clients and we are constantly trying to improve our services, and products to give you the very most for your investment in us. This is only part of how we go "above and beyond" to serve you better.

We have closely analyzed our business practices in 2008, we have entered into some new partnerships with labs and other companies and we have also streamlined our studio services without losing anything (or anyone) important.

It's because of this and also because we know that we are all feeling the current economic crunch that we have been able to rearrange our wedding photography packages and we have been able to lower our prices for our 2009 wedding photography services.

What's even better about this is that instead of getting LESS, now each of our packages will include MORE than what we were able to offer before! That is an incredible feat for us and we are very excited and happy to be able to do this.

Our 2009 wedding packages will all still include, coverage, proofs, and an album, all which we can customize to better suit your needs, style and budget.

Sure, we could have just kept more money for ourselves, but we really want your business! So instead we chose to pass the savings on to our wedding clients.

We are really excited to be able to provide our couples with better services, cooler technology, quality albums and lower prices in 2009 thanks to these new partnerships. We will also continue to evaluate our services, our partnerships with current companies and our own business practices to provide you with the most value for your wedding photography investment.

So if you're looking for a wedding photographer or you know anyone who is, send them to us for top notch, professional and personal services. Contact us at: 508-216-5898 or via e-mail at: info@DiazDD.com for more information about our wedding photography services.

In 2010 we will continue to strive to offer the best possible services and keep our value up and our prices reasonable.

Thank you for considering us for your professional wedding photography needs! We hope to be able to help you "Discover the beauty in your world" in 2009 and beyond.

At your service,
Ed Diaz

Family Portrait Month 2008

I really love when Family Portrait Month rolls around!
That is when I usually get the most number of families coming in to have their portraits made, whether it be for holiday cards, to give as gifts or just to cherish for themselves.

I love meeting and getting to know these people a bit more. Like this new family who just returned from Ethiopia with two wonderful children. I really enjoyed our portrait session and it was certainly my honor to be chosen to capture the images that they will keep close to their hearts.

Thank you Rachael and Adam for the opportunity!

Every family's stories are so different and interesting and the fact that people can be so different, yet come together for a common good cause such as Operation Smile means so much. I feel fortunate to be able to do my part to help children in need.

One of the other reasons I like this time of year? The holidays tend to "Tame" everyone a bit more (for the most part). Yeah, you'll still have that occasional grumpy person in line at the mall or the grocery store that will just complain about everything; but just ignore them and they will soon go away. For the most part, at least the people I have been dealing with are in good spirits, putting aside if only for a short while, all of our economic situations.

It's nice though when one can find love, compassion, unselfishness and other good will during this month. I look forward to it every year, and not because of the "presents".

We are completing the last of our Holiday Family Portraits this week and I just wanted to send a quick post and some images for you all to enjoy. Thank you to all of you who contributed to Family Portrait Month and Operation Smile this year. It is very well appreciated!

Happy Holidays! Be safe and be well.

October is Family Portrait Month

Only a few days left to take advantage of our special this month. Call now to book your session before it's over. Available sessions are very limited now. Don't wait! Call today!

October is national Family Portrait Month and we are offering reduced portrait session fees and percent-off our portrait packages. Don’t Miss Our Special “Family Portrait Month” Promotion! Every October we participate with an elite group of photographers around the country in a very special family portrait promotion.
Throughout October 2008 we will celebrate “Family Portrait Month,” a wonderful opportunity for you update your family portrait (or portraits of your children), and at the same time help to support Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
Along with other studio members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), we have pledged to contribute up to 50% of our Portrait Session Fees to PPA Charities, which has chosen Operation Smile as its charitable partner.
What’s more, we want you to benefit from this special offer: Receive 10% off any portrait package of your choice.
Recording the faces of children and their families is our greatest pleasure. That’s why we believe so strongly in the work of Operation Smile.
Each year this incredible organization of more than 5,000 volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, and specialized health-care professionals, perform free reconstructive surgeries for children suffering with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
It costs only $240 to perform a life-changing cleft lip operation. More than 100,000 children are born with a facial deformity each year in Operation Smile’s 25 partner countries. We also believe that Family Portrait Month is a wonderful way to teach children the value of reaching out to others. Even small children can understand the importance of Operation Smile’s work, and they are eager to help these needy children.
We hope you will join with us in helping to make this vital work possible. Don’t forget that the holiday season is right around the corner, so there’s no better time for a family portrait, which is always appreciated as gifts for family and friends and to send along with holiday greeting cards.
With Warm Wishes, Ed Diaz

Salem Cross Inn Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, Mass.

I had not been to the Inn before so when I paid my first visit a few weeks before the wedding day, I was delighted to see how beautiful it was.
From the moment you pull into the drive and park your vehicle, you are transported back in time to a different era.
Old Victorian living at it's best was the feel of this venue for me. Everything from the old wagons out in the fields, to the open cooking fireplaces and antiquities throughout the entire place reminds us of how special and precious items from the past are. Looking at certain pieces can instantly bring you back to those days, or make you wonder how it must have been "back in the day."

The ceremony was held outside even though only one hour before the ceremony, the sky had opened up and dropped bucket-loads of rain on the grounds. But the rainstorm went by fairly quickly and the Bride was determined to still hold the ceremony outside. Good thing, because the Sun came out just before the ceremony began. So, it turned out to be a beautiful ceremony, on a beautiful day, with a beautiful couple, at a beautiful venue.

Although we did not stay for the entire reception, we did cover the first portion of it. On the inside, the Inn is equally beautifully antique and furnished with many items from our history as well. The lighting was quite challenging from a photographers point of view due to the low light lamps that were available back then, but we made the best of it. That is one of the reasons I always visit the venue prior to the wedding day.

To Joe & Elin, thanks so much for choosing us (over all the other photographers in this area) from your home all the way over in Santa Monica, CA, to photograph the celebration of your love for each other. It has been an honor.

Next time you're in MA, look us up!
Best wishes!

Senior Portrait - Chelsea

This very lovely girl with the perfect complexion is Chelsea.

We had a great time during Chelsea's Senior Portrait session!

I am very pleased with all of the images, though, as you can see, she was very easy to photograph. Her Mom, Wendy had a great time too! Just look at those smiles!

We will soon be starting the (indoor) renovation of our studio, (hopefully in October) which will follow with an outdoor renovation (Spring-Summer 2009) to include a portrait garden and other photo friendly areas.

Right now we have a couple of areas outdoors that are ready, which we use for portraits like the area in some of these portraits. So, we are able to offer our clients a combination of both Indoor & Outdoor portraits without having to leave our studio location.

This renovation will enable us to offer even more variety to our clients and they will be able to discover the outdoors a bit.

This season, there are only a few more appointments available for Senior Portraits - Class of 2009 before most school deadlines have been reached, so if you haven't had your Senior Portraits done yet, give us a call so we can try to fit you in sometime this month. Most school deadlines are by end of August or beginning of September.

Our current special is: 8 Free Wallets with any Package Purchased and this special will run until August 31st only. Call today to book your pre-session consultation and come meet with us, see our studio and make plans your session. Together we will create some ideas or a theme that will make your portrait session unlike any others.

Then you will also be able to say:

Arrowhead Acres Wedding

Arrowhead Acres Weddings are great if you want an outdoor environment for your celebration. There is a beautiful area with a gazebo where you can recite your vows and then a short walk later arrive at a very cute bridge for your formal portraits.

I captured these two lovebirds by the bridge and I just had to share the images with you all. You can really see and feel the love between them in these photographs. That is what makes my job so special and makes me feel good about what I do.

Now this couple can look back at these photos many years from now and still remember all the fun they had on their wedding day. Each wedding I photograph presents a new and interesting challenge and I welcome it with open arms.

Here are just some of their many photographs taken near the bridge outside the reception hall.

Enjoy and let me know your thoughts!

Katie & Kevin, thanks so much for the opportunity to capture your wedding celebration. It was lots of fun! I am looking forward to customizing your wedding album.

Keep in touch!

Wachusett Mountain Wedding

Hi everyone!

Here are some images from a recent wedding at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, MA.

It is a Ski Resort during the Winter months, but in the Summer they use it for many events and private wedding celebrations.

It is a beautiful place to have a wedding as you can see. The newlywed couple can ride via ski-lift to the summit and have their photo taken... On top of the world.

There are many other places here which are also really great for photographs and the banquet hall is decorated very nicely. The staff was very nice to work with and laid-back.

If you are looking for a place to have your wedding celebration, check them out.

I had a lot of fun at this wedding! Both the bride and groom are great people and their families were too. They chose good entertainment, good food and good company.

Scott & Melissa, thanks for choosing us to photograph your wedding. It was an honor. I am looking forward to designing and delivering your beautiful, custom wedding album soon.

Best wishes to you both!
